RSA releases latest online course
鈥淲ater Extraction Essentials鈥� covers equipment, techniques; offers practical tips
May 3, 2012 鈥� Burlington, Wash. Restoration Sciences Academy Online has released its newest online restorative drying course. Entitled 鈥淲ater Extraction Essentials,鈥� the 30-minute course covers surface and deep water extraction for restorative drying, and also provides an overview of the tools, equipment and procedures used to successfully extract excess water from a structure.
The course examines the risks and challenges associated with removing large quantities of water from structures, and reviews the important distinctions between carpet cleaning and carpet extraction to help restorers operate at maximum efficiency. The course is priced at $99, and includes unlimited access for 60 days with each purchase.
Presented by long-time Dri-Eaz instructor David Oakes, the course is designed to offer useful information and practical tips about restoration equipment in a clear and concise presentation. 鈥淭his course is valuable for new staff and seasoned veterans alike,鈥� said Brandon Burton, Technical Education Manager for RSA. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a great way to bring new employees up to speed and to keep experienced techs at the top of their game.鈥�
The water extraction course is RSA鈥檚 second full-length course for RSA Online. 鈥淒rying Equipment Essentials,鈥� launched in March, reviews the equipment used to dry structures and contents following complete and proper extraction.
Located at store.rsa-hq.com, RSA Online offers courses on a variety of cleaning and restoration topics, including water and fire damage restoration and microbial remediation. Over the next few months RSA will be adding many more topics, including more full-length courses that qualify for RSA Certification.
